This week’s State Farm Athletes of the Week at The Colony High School are junior wrestler Yahiya Hussein-Said and junior swimmer Kylie Richeson.
Both Hussein-Said and Richeson qualified for UIL State competitions within the past few months. The award carries a lot of meaning for the tandem.
“It feels good, I accomplished a lot.” Hussein-Said, said. “I am definitely going to show my mom this, and I got more room to improve and stuff, but I am not done yet, though. ”
Richeson added, “It’s pretty cool, It’s an award, I guess all my hard work is getting recognition. “
