Basketball season is back. The Colony Boys Varsity basketball team lost their first home non-conference game of the season on Nov.12 against Frisco Wakeland, by a score of 72-59.

Senior Point Guard Shenard Aiken believes the team will get better as the season continues.

The first game of the season was fun,” Aiken said. “We lost, but I feel we did some good things and we can improve on those.”

Head boys basketball Coach Cleve Ryan is excited about this year’s group.

“We have a good group of guys that just need some experience on the court together,” Ryan said. “I’m looking forward to how they grow together as a team throughout the season.”

The team is excited about the expectations of a new season.

“My goal is to be the best I can be and help lead my team,” Aiken said.

The boys next home game is against Frisco Heritage on Tuesday Nov. 30 at 7 p.m.

We always have season ending goals that we want to accomplish as a team but it is important for us to just focus on one game at a time right now.” Ryan said. “District will be here soon enough but we want to improve each game we play.”
