The Colony wrestling teams competed at the district tournament at Frisco Memorial, where the top four in each weight class moved on to regionals.
Boys Results (Wednesday):
- Yahiya Hussein-Said (215 lbs) – District Champion!
- Sylas Rosas (285 lbs) – 2nd place
- Bobby Huffman (126 lbs) – 3rd place
- Eshun Carroll (132 lbs) – 5th place (alternate)
- Jeremiah Temple (165 lbs) – 5th place (alternate)
- Jaxon Arcaria (106 lbs) – 6th place (alternate)
- Carter Johnson (144 lbs) – 6th place (alternate)
The boys’ team finished 8th overall.
Girls Results (Thursday):
- Neha Anup (114 lbs) – 2nd place
- Abril Gomez (107 lbs) – 4th place
- Faith Bennett (138 lbs) – 4th place
- Melek Moreles (235 lbs) – 5th place (alternate)
